This program is subject to the provisions of the "Jobs for Veterans Act", (Public Law 107-288 and 20 CFR Part 1010) which provides priority of service to veterans and spouses of certain veterans for the receipt of employment, training, and placement services in any job training program directly funded, in whole or in part, by the U. S. Department of Labor.

Midlands One-Stop Career Centers are proud to offer priority of service to veterans and their eligible spouses. What does this mean?

If you served in the military, or are an eligible spouse of a veteran you will be:

• Served first by the next available staff member
• Given first priority for services under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
